well. i have a friend that cant play cod4 anymore cause his pc somehow doesnt want it oO "lol"
every time he runs it after a while the screen freezes and the sound also freezes (continuous loud noise)
non bind works to minimize or close the game .he reinstalled it 4+ times and installed with his cd version and also tried a downloaded version .also when he starts playing a match online for 2 minutes approximately his fps trample from 70 to 250 (maybe pb spikes ..) ..

other games play normal . like mw2 even crysis ...

Dokimase allo config kai dokimase na beis se server xwris PB na deis an sto kanei k ekei, apenergopoihse Antivirus k perita programata.

Having this issue only in cod4 is kinda weird, try updating your drivers (VGA/Sound card) . Try another configuration file , and try to join a server that doesnt run PB . Make sure cod4 folder is on the exception list of your  Antivirus/Firewall software. Try to close any unessesary programs before launching cod4.
