Treyarch has recently posted a job opening for a level builder for the upcoming Call of Duty 5 title.

Job description:

- Build realistic levels for Call of Duty 5 using Radiant quickly and efficiently.
- Detail & polish levels (including lighting) based on photo reference, concept art, and design docs.
- Take direction from design leads to refine mechanics of the map.
- Research subject matter for history and look of the map.
- Be able to meet deadlines and communicate clearly and effectively.
- Work effectively as part of a design team to formulate strategies and implement ideas.

Γνώμη μου μη βιάζεσαι γιατι η αλλαγές μέχρι αρχές Νοέμβρη θα είναι τρελές σε τιμές και κυκλοφορίες new hardware.

Για παράδειγμα intel cpu 6700 πριν 6 μέρες Πλαίσιο = 280 euro, σήμερα intel cpu 6750 Πλαίσιο = 175 euro
(η οποία χρειάζεται μικρότερη τάση με αποτέλεσμα να ανεβάζει μικρότερες θερμοκρασίες :D)

Team Objective (Team OBJ) - this contains two types of games:

a) Domination (Dom) - 2 teams capture flags, with respawns. 6-12 players, 5 pts/kill, 150 pts round limit.
b) Search & Destroy (S&D) - 2 teams, each either destroying or defending an objective, with no respawns. 6-12 players, 5 pts/kill, 150 pts round limit.

Team Tactical - smaller 2-vs-2, or 3-vs-3 versions of the Team Death Match and Search-and-Destroy game types. 4-6 players, 10 pts/kill, 500 pts round limit.

Other types are expected as well in the final release version. No word on whether or not new ones will be added later in the Beta.

Perk Sets:

Category 1

a) Bomb Squad - detect opponents' explosives
b) C4 x 2 - you get two C4 packs that can be dropped/attached, then detonated by remote (video)
c) Claymore x 2 - two claymore mines that you can set up, that detonate automatically when an opponent gets too close
d) RPG-7 x 2 - rocket launcher with two rockets
e) Special Grenades x 3 - ability to carry more special (non-frag) nades

Category 2

a) Juggernaut - increased health (can take more damage)
b) Sonic Boom - increased power of explosive weapons
c) UAV Jammer - invisible/do not show up on opponent radar during UAV scans
d) Sleight of Hand - faster reloads (video)
e) Stopping Power - bullets fired cause increased damage to opponents and objects

Category 3

a) Deep Impact - increased bullet penetration of objects
b) Last Stand - pull out pistol when dying, for a last chance to gun down your opponent
c) Steady Aim - increased accuracy when firing from the hip
d) Extreme Conditioning - can sprint longer/further
e) Martyrdom - drop a live grenade when killed in hopes of taking your opponent with you

Other known perks, not yet available, include:

1) Iron Lung - hold breath longer for steadier shots (sniper)
2) Dead Silence - make no noise even when quickly sneaking up on opponents
3) Double Tap - faster rate of fire
4) Eavesdrop – ability to hear opponent communications from a certain nearby distance

Ή θα πατώσει το παιχνίδι ως προς το competitive μέρος του ή θα πιάσει και θα ταρακουνήσει τη φάση fps. Πάντως γενικά πιστεύω πως θα πουλήσει, γαμάτα γραφικά, πράματα να κάνεις εκτός από πίου πίου, customization θα έχουνε σουξέ (αρκεί το gameplay να μην είναι γιατομπούτζο).

Enrico "Fuchsstute" Ausborn: I really enjoyed playing Call of Duty 4. The graphics were impressive and I liked that they didn't change that much of the gameplay. The weapons have more recoil and you can shoot through walls. The maps aren't as large as I expected them to be, they're similar to CoD2.

Post by: enc on August 31, 2007, 07:51:17 PM: Το μόνο σίγουρο είναι οτί δεν πρόκειται για WW2 game. Άρα λογικό είναι, κομμένα τα κλασσικά μονόβολα τουφέκια / κανόνια. Μόνο και μόνο αυτό μπορεί να ξενερώνει κάποιους που παίζανε μόνο rifles. Τα υπόλοιπα features είναι ακόμα δόκιμο αν θα χρησιμοποιηθούν από default στο online competition. Και στο CoD 1 είχε το FG42-αυτόματο με scope (αν το πέτυχα το νούμερο) αλλά ήταν off στο multiplayer.

Για το αν θα είναι υψηλές οι απαιτήσεις του game, κάπου πήρε το μάτι μου από ψιλό-unofficial πηγή οτί δεν θέλουν να χάσουν και τους παίχτες με low-end συστήματα. Δεν απαντήσαν επίσης στο αν θα υποστηρίζει και DX7. Όλα είναι ανοιχτά προς το παρόν.

As far as the development of the PC version, it's been going full steam. Most of our attention has actually been on the PC version recently, mostly on implementation and polishing of the features added due to the feedback given on our first PC community day. You guys gave us a shopping list of features and suggestions that we really took to heart. Including that uber-config file, which has been a huge focus of our time.

I feel confident saying that the PC version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has been fully tailored by the feedback of the PC community. I think that's really going to show come November 5th and before when the demo hits. Everything from plenty of options for the player and server-side admins to turn on / off features, to the inclusion of popular suggestions like Hardcore Mode, slimming down the hud even when not in Hardcore, Half-time mode for objective gametypes, anti-cheat out of box, and even looking into ways to take control back from hackers / cheaters who get through anti-cheat.

Post by: JackalGR on October 14, 2007, 01:20:50 PM: Από την μια καλό γιατί δεν θα υπάρχει stats-padding από την άλλη άσχημο καθώς δεν θα υπάρχει η πρόκληση του ανταγωνισμού και του "ξεκλειδώματος" νέων classes και weapons.Είναι πάντως παράξενο καθώς στο PC δεν θα υπάρχει ranking ενώ στις κονσόλες θα υπάρχει....

Edit:Έκανα λάθος δείτε αυτό http://www.infinityward.com/community/forum/index.php/topic,1565.0.html θα υπάρχει ranking αλλά δεν θα υπάρχει "ranked" servers όπως στα BF

Collect the indicated number of Intel Pieces (enemy laptop computers) hidden throughout the game to unlock the corresponding cheat option:

COD Noir: 2 Intel Pieces. Turns graphics black and white.

Photo-Negative: 4 Intel Pieces. Inverts the colors.

Super Contrast: 6 Intel Pieces. Increases the contrast.

Ragtime Warfare: 8 Intel Pieces. Silent Movie mode; graphics are black and white, dust and scratches fill the screen, game plays at two times the speed, and the music becomes piano music.

Cluster Bombs: 10 Intel Pieces. Frag grenades are more powerful.

A Bad Year: 15 Intel Pieces. Enemies explode into tires when shot.

Slow-Mo Ability: 20 Intel Pieces. Slow motion game play.

Infinite Ammo: 30 Intel Pieces.

Intel Pieces
The Intel Pieces can be found in the following levels. There are a total of thirty Intel Pieces.

Level 2: 2 Intel Pieces
Level 4: 2 Intel Pieces
Level 5: 3 Intel Pieces
Level 6: 2 Intel Pieces
Level 7: 2 Intel Pieces
Level 9: 3 Intel Pieces
Level 10: 2 Intel Pieces
Level 12: 2 Intel Pieces
Level 13: 3 Intel Pieces
Level 14: 2 Intel Pieces
Level 16: 2 Intel Pieces
Level 17: 1 Intel Piece
Level 18: 2 Intel Pieces
Level 19: 2 Intel Pieces

Epilogue mission
Successfully complete Story mode on any difficulty setting and watch the entire credits to unlock the bonus Epilogue mission.

Mile High Club mission
Successfully complete Story mode on any difficulty setting to unlock the Mile High Club mission.

Prestige mode
Reach level 55 to unlock Prestige mode. This is a multiplayer only mode that starts you back at level 1. You can repeat this ten more times.
