Anthony Neil, in an interview for Game Informer said the following about the Beta:

"Hello everyone. Yes. I know. The Beta still has many issues that need to be addressed. We are currently looking at the following things to make the final game as good as what you have come to expect from Call of Duty.

1. We are redesigning the maps so that all glitches are fixed. They will also be more balanced, so that everyone, whether a sniper, or shotgunner, has a good chance of doing well.

2. We are aware of a growing number of people complaining about camping. We are working on a server system that places similarly ranked players together. (Similar to what they have in Halo 3.)

3. We have gotten complaints from many players about the shotguns. So we are making them more powerful, better ranged, and giving them more bullets per round.

4. We are working on allowing people to customize their characters, like they do in Rainbow Six: Vegas.

5. We are also adding a new gametype that allows the players to play coop as either the Allies or the Axis powers. So there will be different perspectives of the game, depending on which side you choose.
