1. What is cheating?
How can you really define cheating? Unfairly gaining an advantage to win a round or game? But what does cheating mean to a cheater himself? Is it all really just to win a few measly rounds and appear to be a professional player?
2. What is cheating to a cheater?
I cannot speak for everyone, but I can speak for the majority, the question bugging all Anti-Cheating users out there is “Why do cheaters cheat?”. Why they do not yet have the answer is because there is no definite reason. It’s a complicated issue, and that’s what I hope to cover in this article.
To a cheater cheating isn’t just a cheep thrill to kill as many people as possible in the most unfair manner imaginable, cheating is just an expansion to the game, not to make the cheater appear to be very skilled but to make the game more enjoyable for the cheater.
3. You wouldn’t like it if I cheated.
This is a phrase I hear far to often, when a cheater is found out in game often what happens is the cheater has to deal with a chain reaction of flaming, usually one person notices and notifies every one else in the game and slowly everyone turns against the cheater, assuming that the cheater is not killing with skill but with hacks and cheats, soon the cheater is banned or is force to leave the game and find a new server to continue playing on.
In actual fact, it makes no difference to the cheater if others are cheating, as it is just expanding the game to meet your requirements of it. All killing is fair to a cheater as long as the player can die, cheats or not, it just adds a fun twist to the game for the cheater.
4. But what if a cheater is Aim Boting?
Sure, the cheater now has a huge advantage over newbies in the game but is still an easy target for real pro’s. Its often newbies that complain about cheaters Aim Boting but again, this is just a fun twist for a cheater to face in a game. Aim Boters are often thought of as invincible because, how do you kill an Aim Boter when you die as soon as you become in shooting range of one? Well the answer to this question is simple, use real skill and sneak up on them, if they don’t know your around and they can’t see you on their screen then how are they going to kill you.
5. Cheaters only cheat because they suck at the game.
This is not entirely true, did you know most of the people who code Aim Bots and Wall Hacks don’t actually even use them in-game that often? Just because a cheater is using a wall hack doesn’t mean that he is void of skill, his mouse doesn’t automatically click on you in a matter of seconds and spray you over the wall does it? It merely alerts him that you are near and gives him time to prepare for combat, sure Aim Bots are a different story but its only the small majority of ‘Script Kiddies’ that use Aim Bots, and I’m not speaking for them, I am speaking for cheaters.
Even though a cheater is using cheats he still requires a substantial amount of skill to play the game.
6. Why do programmers make hacks and not use them?
A lot of programmers only make things like Wall Hacks and Aim Bots for achievement and hardly ever use them in-game. But for other things such as crosshair hacks, colour hacks, no fog hacks, and so fourth, they are simply to extend the game and make the game more enjoyable, not just for the programmer but for the cheaters that download them too.
7. What to do next time you see a cheater in-game.
Next time you see a cheater in game, don’t flame the cheater or call him a newbie because you assume he lacks total skill as that is not the case, just learn to live with cheaters, a real pro of the game wouldn’t have a problem with cheaters anyhow because if you where a real pro, you would have killed the cheater by now.
