Call of Duty Black Ops / COD7 will be the 7th installment of the Call of Duty series. It is currently being developed by Treyarch per a leak by Treyarch Senior Animator, David Kim. The release date for the game is said to be in November 2010 and is said to be titled Call of Duty 7 Black Ops / COD7. Call of Duty Black Ops / COD7 will be set in recent history — sometime between World War II and present day – and will feature missions in Cuba and South America. Another rumor out there is a player will control a British SAS member during the 1980 siege of the Iranian embassy in London as well as the game featuring some 1960’s Vietnam action.
What may come as a surprise to some and what may not to others is Activision’s CEO Mike Griffith speculated that Call of Duty 7 Black Ops / COD7 is not expected to exceed sales of Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 / CODMW2. I guess one can understand why someone may say this when the sales of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 are considered.
Although it appears Activision has made some vague comments regarding Call of Duty Black Ops / COD 7 This has not been confirmed by Activision, and may turn out to be false. However sources say everything that is true or false will be revealed in May in Official Playstation Magazine sources.
